CCCN1 - Commercial Catering Core Gas Safety

This Gas Safety Assessment is designed to test the gas safety competence of an operative in core commercial catering gas work by practical and knowledge and understanding assessment.
This Gas Safety Assessment comprises of 12 Core Competences:
- Gas Safety Legislation
- Gas Emergency Actions and Procedures
- Characteristics of Combustion
- Ventilation
- Installation of Pipework and Fittings
- Soundness Testing between Appliance Isolation Valve & Appliance Operating Taps for Pipework Volume up to 0.15m3
- Checking and/or Setting Meter Regulators
- Identification of Unsafe Situations and the Use of Emergency Isolation Controls and Valves
- Checking and Setting Appliance Burner Pressures
- The Operation and Checking of Appliance Gas Safety Devices and Controls
- Re-establish Existing Gas Supply and Relight Appliances
Range of appliances covered - All Commercial Catering Gas Fittings
Please also refer to CODC1 which carries the same authorisations as CCCN1, but is designed for Candidates holding Domestic Core or Non-Domestic Core qualifications.
Non-Domestic Catering Appliances, COMCAT 1 & 3, are automatically included in this course.

Entry Qualification
Category 1 Candidates who wish to renew their CCCN1 qualification.
Category 1 Candidates who have allowed their qualification to lapse for more than 12 months and Category 2 Candidates may also access this course.
Experienced Gas Engineers who hold a current Domestic Core and/or Non-Domestic Core qualification who wish to obtain or renew CCCN1 should opt for the shorter CODC1 course.
As an alternative to CCCN1, Category 2 Candidates could complete CCN1 Domestic Core then progress to CODC1 Change-over Domestic Core to Commercial Catering Gas Safety.

- Training: 2 Days
- Assessment: 2 Days
Note:
Re-Assessment Domestic Core + Appliances costs cover up to 4 Appliances. If further appliances are to be renewed, a charge of £ 80 per appliance will be incurred.
Additional appliances (not previously held) will be charged at £ 145 each.
Registration Fees: In some instances registration fees will not be included.
